Love Without Commentary
Zen love asks me to stop polishing the mirror and answer the moment.
It's action without the ego constantly narrating itself. Zen considers love to be acting and doing things without internal self-commentary, while allowing speech, silence, touch, and restraint to appear as the moment arises. Please, let the doing of things shape your life. Let each moment teach you what it wants, and its own weather: mood, body, need, and love.
When I stop narrating myself and let the moment teach me what care requires, it becomes love. It is not a feeling I perform in my head. It is the cup I wash, the apology I make, the hand I hold, the silence I allow.
