Focus and Attention
Self-talk and writing don't move me. This feels like recording rather than movement. Let life unfold without commentary.
Let's compare and blend attention horizon and plane of focus. Both emphasize what is looked at and, indirectly, your perspective. Plane and horizon point to balance and tilting. Shifting from left to right, forward and backward. Metaphorically, flourishingward or contracting, expanding or contracting, uplifting or dragging.
These will point you in a particular direction. They start a new trajectory.
An imbalance becomes a cause for the next condition. Balance isn't the goal; it only points to stasis. The goal is to move toward flourishing and eudaimonia. Each tilt arises dependently from prior causes and conditions.
This is not fatalism. Quite the opposite. It means deliberately changing conditions matters enormously. Walking matters. Going into the shop matters. Calling somebody matters. Music matters. Touch matters. Rest matters. Moving your body may sometimes accomplish more than twenty minutes of noble thoughts.
Your “plane of focus” therefore isn't merely a camera angle aimed at reality. It helps fabricate the experienced reality from which the next response arises.
